How to make a custom Super Grub Disk

Introduction

Some Super Grub Disk advanced users need to use some of the Super Grub Disk most special features for their own projects. Usually they finish making a custom Super Grub Disk. Let's see how to do it.

Cdrom

  1. Drop Super Grub Disk cdrom contents into a temporary folder
  2. Just keep these files (with its full path):
    1. /boot/grub/stage2_eltorito
  3. Edit /boot/grub/menu.lst in the temporary folder and make changes to it.
  4. Convert the temporal folder into an ISO
  5. Burn the ISO into a CDROM with your favorite burner program.

Floppy

  1. Get a Super Grub Disk floppy
  2. Mount the floppy (only in Linux)
  3. Edit /boot/grub/menu.lst on the floppy
  4. Umount the floppy (only in Linux)
